Scholarships are granted by the BOA UK faculty on the basis of need and quality of video audition. To be considered for a scholarship, early application is encouraged.

ACCOMMODATION: The University of Surrey, Stag Hill, University Campus, Guildford GU2 7XH

Accommodation (for those requiring it) is available at only £45 per night for a private ensuite room, with access to a Common Room and kitchen in the conveniently located, modern facilities. Fast trains to London, Tescos supermarket, guest membership opportunity to Surrey Sports Park, the Guildford School of Acting and Guildford Town Centre are all within easy walking distance. Accommodation can be booked through the British Opera Academy administrator at a special rate for the 2-week period.

BOA’s artistic director Dr Mark Ross Clark, Professor Emeritus, is an award-winning international director and author. Accolades include founding ‘Singergetics’, masterclasses in Alexander Technique, movement and acting. His publications include Author of Singing, Acting, and Movement in Opera and Guide to the Aria Repertoire (Indiana University Press) and The Broadway Song (Oxford University Press). His new book is currently being published for release by Indiana University Press.
